Acronyms
Updated: Jun 30, 2020
If you are in the infertility/pregnancy loss community then you already know what I'm talking about. Acronyms. There are SO many of them! TTC, BD, DPO are some of more more common ones. When you really dive in it can get overwhelming. We got this amazing list from RESOLVE.
Example: I was in the 2WW then AF showed up right at 9DPO. We BD on the 3rd. This TTC journey is so hard. I guess it’s a BFN for this cycle.
Translation: I was in 2WW (the two-week-wait= the period of time between ovulation and your next cycle) then AF (Aunt Flo=period) showed up right at 9 DPO (days past ovulation). We BD (baby danced/ had sex) on the 3rd. This TTC (trying to conceive) journey is so hard. I guess it's a BFN (big fat negative= no chance of pregnancy) for this cycle.
So, as you can see, it gets very confusing and somewhat overwhelming. Use this guide to find acronyms quickly!
